You're right Malnilion, I read into it wrong... Vista itself wont be using Gdi+ but will still support programs that uses it.

Guys, Vista isn't doing away with GDI+. The reason I know this is because older architecture will be able to run Vista (but without Aero).

That was what had me worried from the beginning... I ain't switching till I make sure Vista is Blackbox-friendly - or the other way around...

Is or did Vista do away with gdiplus yet? If so, will plugins that use that need to switch over to winfx or something. For the most part, plugins developed in .NET2.0 should be ok..

Well, Vista's beta is avail for download and applying for a license isn't that big of a deal.. The thing is, will development of blackbox, bblean and Xoblite carry over to the new OS.. If we knew that then perhaps some test machines could be setup to help in that...

Well Vista beta 2 is availible. link Anyone who tries it let me know how it is. Personally i don't think i am going to use it.

Yknow, i found it really amusing to see the 32 bit version working on 98SE. i also find it just as hilarious that this still runs even on windows 11 machines.

uploading works, but uploads always require approval and I don't think any of us are as actively moderating as we did in the past ;-)
