iTiVO It's an a+
junkie oh my goodness, how can you read anything in this green goo?? :)
crowmag junkie, you must spend too much time in the sun, this can lead to cataracts as well as melanoma :P Seriously tho, some don't care for their eyes to be bathed in the high levels of radiation that can come from a computer monitor, I being one of them, but to each his own... Viewing this in my dimly lit room, it looks great to me - I just need to increase the font size for these old peepers :) How about another remix with a bit of brown added cthu1hu ?
cthu1hu i just came across one of those fancy winamp5 skins with a brown and green color scheme (called opium) and was floored by it. brown and green rocks my socks. have failed to make it work yet though..
junkie crowmag, its not the brightness, its the contrast that this style lacks, in my opinion. i have a 19" LCD monitor running at its native 1280x1024 resolution in sRGB mode, my eyes are ~60cm away from the screen, and i had to lean forward to see whats what in this screenie.. :) btw i love cthu1hu's styles, i've got all of those available on his website on my hdd. actually, i'm using one of his styles right now.. though not with the matching 3dcc scheme, but with a light visual style.. so i guess my point is, nice, stylish theme, but not very usable. for me, at least.

junkie oops, accidentally hit refresh.. sorry.. :)
cthu1hu this one is definitely a strain on the peepers. i didn't use it long myself. i love the dark themes tho and the way fonts look with low contrasts. makes them look cleaner..
roots Ohhh I like it XD VERY NOICE!
crowmag @cthu1hu - can't wait to check out that 'opium' style :) ... @ junkie, LCD explains it all... You can't really set black point or for that matter do gamma correction on an LCD screen - which is why you won't find too many of them in professional graphics arts departments etc. While the wide screens are nice, I still prefer my Trinitron CRT for the mere fact that I can set gamma and black point - which is boils down to color contrast. My monitor is 32 inches (81.28 cm) from my eyes, I plan on trying to keep y eyes as long as possible :)
cthu1hu i have bad eyesight and my glasses are old and scratched, so i have to lean in about 12" or less to make styles. if i put the glasses on and leaned back, i'd probably be a whole different style author, for better or worse. and thanks for kind words and support regarding my styles, junkie.
junkie crowmag, i had a very nice 17" CRT monitor, but it was way too large, it took up all my desk.. so i had to get a flat monitor. it's main advantage over the CRT is that i can look at it all day without experiencing any discomfort, eye sore, or anything.. (been doing that for over a year now). with my 17" CRT after a day of "work" i was a wreck.. even though i recalibrated my monitor regularly.. but we are way off topic now.. :)
crowmag I know what you mean cthu1hu, my bifocals are old and scratched too but I got me some 'Big Lot's Specials' that I use just at the computer because my eyes would feel like they had sand in them after just a few hours with the scripts. Had to go through every pair in the rack until I found something that worked at the distance I wanted and they ain't too stylish either... I wouldn't be caught dead wearing them outside the house =[
cthu1hu i must have an astigmatism because none of those types of glasses work for me. when i picked mine out at the wal*mart eye doctor, i got the biggest, sturdiest ones i could find--so they would last. man are they ugly, but they're only for reading online. i just stay blind 99% of the time. hate contacts. my twin has perfect 20/20 eagle vision though. the ass.
Lord E. Awesome!
