	This is a style I made to fit "my" likes and needs. Some may like it and some may not. But it turned out the way I wanted it too. Except for one small thing......I would like my sys.tray icons to also be green, but haven't figured that out yet. -----I am in no way wanting to start a weed debate.....So Please no "Don't do Drugs" or "Weed is bad" We all have our own beliefs, good or bad.

thewayofzen	Honestly dude i cannot for the life of me figure out how u would figure this woulndt arouse some kind of bad taste in someones mouth in the scene. and honestly not start a debate? COME ON! to half the ppl here its just gonna be a matter of "whatever its weed.. meh" and to others its gonna be "there goes zen the drama queen" .. and thats all fine and good. But i have to say that i find the blatant glorification and advertisement of something like this a little pathetic. a whole lot said.. and WAY TOO fratboy. Honestly dude.. u wanna smoke pot FINE.. u wanna be a stoner GREAT.. but i shouldnt have to look at it on a page i visit as frequently as this. My dads a junky. And this shit killed my family. For the record i have two things to say.... 1.as an admin i refused to approve your style 2. finale was my last style until i found something to push off page one.

I don't smoke, but see no problem with it, since studies have yet to show a single harmful side-effect, no one has ever died from using it and you can't OD on it. Compare this to alcohol. blockhead	To the best of my knowledge, the only way to make the tray icons greenish is to make the toolbar green and then adjust the "hue" in the preferences for the tooltray. Maybe make a second style with the green and white "roles" swapped?
thewayofzen	study smuddy. i have a fair amount of friends who have suffered from it. they went from being okay ppl to stoner burnout dumbasses. if thats not harmful enough.. not sure what is.. My main thing here is that honestly if you are of age where u can HONESTLY make a SMART choice based on factors that are honestly LEGIT fine.. but tahts not the case. Instead we share a society where kids as young as ten.. heck prolly younger.. are thinking its cool to smoke pot.. they cant even tell u the active chemical that actually causes the high.. let alone SPELL it. Too many kids go into said things misinformed and ignorant.. instead they eat up the glorified life of a potsmoker as advertised by burnout other potsmokers who feel a need to advertise. I think its foolish and unneeded. Theres a certain amount of responsibility here that just seems neglected...
el capitan	honestly zen... i see your reasons for disapproval, and i agree with some of them. but being a "stoner burnout dumbass" at one point myself there are a few things i have to say. it seems as though you've had many troubles due to friends/family's marijuana use. i've had problems just the same. i've withdrawn myself from a good portion of family due to them frowning upon my actions. but anyways, just because you've had problems with it and apparently still do, doesn't give you the right to jump on someones case about it. it's their choice to glorify it, their choice to like it, their choice to post it here. that person doesnt need to hear your shit about how it destroyed your family and what not. i'm sure he/she doesn't care either. i know i dont. i mean, it's not my family, why should i care. maybe if you were a good friend of mine i'd say differently. but that's not the case. let people have their own views and opinions rather than jumping their case for it. maybe try a more positive approach to the matter rather than throwing the weight of your world upon him screaming "HOW DOES IT FEEL?" maybe suggest to him that the content of his screenshot offends you and you'd kindly appreciate if he didn't submit anymore containing such content. that said, i bid you all good day. and if you'd like to take the argument further feel free and drop me an email.

TheDude	Pot can cause lazyness, and some other minor effects. One thing you got wrong though Zen, you are blaming the wrong thing. Many people smoke pot and are responsible enough to not allow it to get in the way of their lives and other peoples lives, much like the occassional drink or drinks. Many people are unable to maintain the responsibility required for such a life choice. To go from one way of life to the other requires one to realize the nessecity to change themselves to maintain their responsibilities, and if they can't then they should not smoke pot(in this case). It's ok to have a good time, but not at the expense of one's quality of life or someone elses.
Pitkon	My daughter almost died taking drugs. She started smoking and when that was not enough she turned to pills. She did ODed on them and we took her to ER. She attended a Program - and we, as parents, stayed there for 4 years in the Family Branch. I learned things there most people don't know and it would take me about 3 pages to lay out some of them. Pot may not kill but in about 60 % of cases makes people crave for something more. Most heroin addicts started out smoking. My daughter is OK now, but I would prefer it if she never started smoking - and so does she. At least she lived - some others weren't so lucky. Promoting drug-oriented stuff is not the best way to save lives.
Fatman	The style's nice, but I wouldn't have used the leaf. I have to agree with zen here. My home town is Dope City. There's always someone smoking a spliff somewhere. All the users think about is the next reefer or bong, and always begging money off people to buy some resin. What kind of life is that? Anyway, just my... what's the exchange rate... probably about 4p.

I know it is not like most of the styles that you people have made but I didn't want to make a style like that. This style was made for MY own satisfaction. I put a lot of hard work into creating this style ( it has been a trial and error thing). I fell in love with Blackbox the first time I saw a screenshot of it. The fact that you can customize your desktop to fit your needs and likes, is just awesome to me. And that is what I did here. I like things simple and minimal, and I feel my style does that for me. Now for my 2 cents on POT!!! Yes, I am PRO Marijuana, but I could care less if people can legaly get high or not. The fact of the matter is that there are like 20,000 known uses of marijuana. Anywhere from using it as fuel for your car to making paper to clothes to Medicine. The fact that we (United States) are at war for OIL and MONEY (If you don't think that is why we are at WAR for oil and money then you need to look at the facts A LOT CLOSER) is SAD. When we (The Planet Earth) could virtually eliminadate the need for Fossil Fuels just by using Marijuana instead. It is sad when people see or hear about Marijuana all they CAN think about is getting high or Being a Stoner or Pothead, instead of being able to see the bigger picture. I truly feel sorry for those of you that have a family member or family that has problems with drugs, But as the saying goes "It is not the GUN that kills people it is PEOPLE that kill people" I do apologize for upsetting some people hear, but it was not my intension. But the fact is i DIDNT accept it. i left it there in limbo for debate as to whether or not it SHOULD be accepted. And the honest issue isnt just mine.. there were others admins to who chose to leave it. And i commend you as well on trying to portray something other then the "getting high" aspect of marijuana as well. The thing is that 90 percent (im pulling that outta my ass i know it you know it.. but seriously its likely true) of ppl who are pro marijuana taht i know .. and most ppl know.. arent pro marijuana cause they think its gonna solve world hunger or eliminate war so to speak. They are pro marijuana because they wanna be able to smoke it whenever they want.. carry it on their person so they can use at will without any recourse from the law. The fact of the matter is that most CHILDREN who see a marijuana leaf are starting to recognise what it is.. not because it can fix a fossil feul problem or eliminate a war.. but because someone they look up to likely glorified it. You were kinda expecting this backlash. Your post in the style comments is proof. And i would apologise to those who are offended.. but honestly its an us against them issue. Im on the no side.. and those telling me to screw off are pretty much on the yes side. The fact of the matter remains.. its NOT legal. and honestly in a public forum such as this one.. i find it insulting.. SO what would i have done.. bsetroot it and post. with a link hosting the screenie on another website.. like www.photobucket.com. That way you get to showcase the style.. and how its intended. Heck i did a style with a bible with a cross stuck through it and blood everywhere. I showed it to others in the community and said "i think this is gonna cause shit" Most said RAD POST IT one person said "i find this disturbing." That was enough for me to say "bsetroot" I dunno. Im all for free speech and whatever. But as much as you ahve a right to post whatever u wish.. and obviously you do cause an admin DID approve it.. I have a right to do the same.. even if its just so i can NOT have to look at what You posted everyday. This isnt a personal attack on anyone. Its a personal attack on something i dont want to look at. If u think im lame because of that. thats your opinion. I honestly dont see anything wrong with posting my 6 styles. thewayofzen	It is the decision of most admins .. and me not being one i will admit.. that this style violated no terms of service.. and therefore any rant or opinion expressed by anyone here is purely there own and not of CRACKMONKEY. so for what its worth.. sorry for the fuss.. but honestly i still disapprove.
Herbalist	Thanks for your Honesty. It is not everyday that someone is Honest. I do see and understand your point. I just thought (assumed) that this site was used by mainly adults that could look past a picture of a leaf and see the work I put into the style. I didn't use any stylemaker App. This was made by me figuring out what "Raised Gradient Vertical" was. Hell I didn't even know what Hex colors where I first started this. And I think the matching of the colors was a good job considering my lack of prior knowledge. BTW good idea with the "bsetroot" I don't use it, so it never ocurred to me to use it. In the future I will be sure to use it or if nothing else use a Wall that won't create this type of debate. But Thanks again for accepting my submission.
qwilk	OK, let me just say I'm on the anti-pot side and leave it at that. But I think this discussion highlights a difficult issue for this site and others displaying creative content, and that is how to judge what is to be considered offensive or not. Obviously there's no clear answer as we're all different, our living conditions are different (even more so being a "global" community), our moral values are different. So how should we judge in this case? The answer is common sense. As twoz pointed out, you Herbalist [b]did[/d] put a disclaimer in his notes, so he must have been aware of its potential as a flamebait. The bible with a bloody cross twoz mentioned is another example. In fact, on this site I've seen quite a few styles that have disturbed me. I think there was a rotten corpse at some point, semi-satanic stuff (sorry Rev and others, but I don't like that even though I am not that conservative, it's just give you a foul taste, you know?), the list goes on. On the other hand, at least porn seems to be universally ruled as offensive on sites like this, semi-naked women being judged on a case-by-case basis. Corpse OK, naked chick not OK? Bleh. Bottom line: Ask yourself if the screenshot you're posting contains something that might offend people. And unless you're really ignorant of other people's feeling you should be able to judge for yourself what's OK and what's not OK. Anyway, just my opinion, flame away...
thewayofzen	at the very least you entered with a bang ;) By no means am i saying bsetroot is the only option. And im willing to admit to you again.. zens a drama queen. ESPECIALLY when it comes to this stuff. So for what its worth i apolgise for the fuss. And i STILL dont agree. But i do apologise. you cant please everyone.. thats how the world works. qwilk	el capitan: I can ignore such content too, but you're missing the point - there's a reason they don't allow porn at 6 PM on TV, and that's because children are awake at that time. Hehe, think of this site as a FAMILY site - we do not know the age, gender, social background etc of people visiting this site, therefore it is important to have discussions such as this to decide what is acceptable and what is not - and then we can still choose to ignore things find offensive. In other words, you could call it free speech - within the boundaries of respect towards others. But it's a really difficult subject, I agree.
