Kaloth has released a new plugin BBPlugManager adds AutoUpdating functionality to BB4Win and it's other branches.

BBPlugManager provides dynamic plugin loading/update (similar to that of xoblite)
in the form of a plugin for all *box branches (Tested on xoblite and BB4win).
It also provides extra features, these are listed below...

* Dynamic Plugin loading/toggle/update.
* Zip update extraction.
* BeginPluginEx support.
* Sticky Controller : alows user to specify window classes to make sticky (ie: appear on all workspaces).
* Transparency Controller : Same as Sticky Controller but for transparency instead.

BB4Win 0.0.91 2004-05-23 15:18:10
Hey folks a new version of BB4Win is out. It's now availible to the public after 2 months.

Here is what's new:

Changes:
[changed CommandItem.cpp 23/05/04 nc-17]
- if menu.hilite is parentRelative, indicators now show properly on command/bool/config items

[changed MenuMaker.cpp 26/02/04 nc-17]
- relative [path]s in the menu now work when first logging on (thanks Mystique for testing!)

also a quote from NC-17:

"I forgot to update the About dialog, which still says 0.0.90. But as this is a public release after 0.0.90, it's really supposed to be 0.0.91. So just... imagine it to be different "

Making psudo apps in BBInterface 2004-05-19 21:28:58
I just found a way to create small, or so called small distributable mini applications with BBInterface. This makes it easy to create an interface and make it totally packageable and usable to others.
1) Make a seperate directory inside your plugins directory that going to contain your new interface.
2) Copy the BBInterface dll to that directory and rename it. Use something that matches your interface you are creating.
3) build your interface and store all the graphics in that directory.

Then load that new dll in the Load/Unload or edit your plugins.cfg file to include the new renamed bbinterface.dll
Example: I created an isolated Mixer interface and renamed the BBInterface.dll to BBMixer.dll

Now when you need to call up a new interface, you can just call the newly named plugin :)
